Both the 2008 and the 2010 A Date with a Plate events were held to benefit The Noreen O’Neill Foundation for Melanoma Research and the work they do in conjunction with The Wistar Institute. Our work continued in 2012 at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center with our funding the development and construction of The Serenity Garden followed in 2014 with our supporting the cutting-edge research being done at The Center for Personalized Diagnostics at the Abramson Cancer Center.
In 2015, our fundraising because very personal as we directed our focus to support Project A.L.S. and the work they are doing to find treatments and ultimately, a cure for neurodegenerative diseases.
We will continue to support Project A.L.S. in 2017 as our way of honoring our dear friend, Carol Kleiner as she fights her own fight against ALS.
